Hey Y’all, my name is Evan! Welcome to my diary, my place of working things out, and my place of inspiration. I am currently 22 years old, I work in the Fashion Retail Industry and I am currently the Assistant Manager for Alice + Olivia in Dallas. So you could say fashion is not just my hobby, it my life. I graduated from the University of Arkansas with a Business Retail degree, a minor in Spanish & Logistics, & as a Pi Beta Phi. I am a Jesus follower, a Holy Spirit believer, and a Daughter of the King. I am imperfect, impatient, impractical at times. I am a dreamer, believer, entrepreneur and hard worker. People are my passion, and I am figuring out this life right along side you.
I am desperately in love with my husband, who I finally married April 2016 after meeting when we were 15. We have been together over 7 years now, crazy! We definitely have grown up together. He keeps me sane, he is strong inside & out, and I am for sure lucky to have him by my side in this crazy thing we call life.
My baby Joie is everything to me. As my best friend put it, “we can speak to each other threw our eyes”. She is a Tiny Pom, and is 8 years old.
I am hoping to bring realness, tangibility, and a grasp back to reality.
I am the biggest proponent, believer, and follower of fashion blogs and beautiful bloggers on all forms of social media. They bring happiness, prettiness, and desire into my life for more beautiful better things. Everything they say, do, and wear is desirable. They are good people, a lot of them Christians. They speak truth, they share products we would have otherwise never known we needed, and they give us a glimpse into beautiful life.I think inspiration and aspiration are key to our life and goals. And while their job is basically marketing, promotion, and being a billboard, most of it isn’t fully real. And it’s not their fault. They do not lie, they aren’t fooling us, and they aren’t trying to portray a different life than what they live. However, when they are only posting a small portion of their lives (the semi perfect part), sometimes we let our minds wonder into believing they have the perfect life, minimal troubles, and have the most luxurious job. I have fallen into a trap of comparison, higher expectations, and unhappiness because of some of it. So while I will probably fall into a similar fold, I will work harder to also post very real, honest and true things. From outfit posts, to full-worded blog posts, to my personal life. My Husband and I live a very open book life. We have no secrets, we hide nothing, and we share everything. Just ask my friends. And if you want to know something, just ask. I’ll answer it all!
My sole purpose is to help you find the pretty inside of yourself on the days you feel less than beautiful.
My goal is to give you maybe just an inkling of inspiration within reality. A grasp on what is real, what is normal, but also what you can strive for, desire for, and work for. My goal is authenticity, being intentional, and being honest. And also a little fun while we’re at it:)
